Day 2 - 9/06/07

Here I am, made it back for a second entry. I have signed up with Google to have them put ads on this site. So, if you see one, click on it and I get paid! That's interesting, never even considered that until that option showed up.
I got some feedback from The Texas Democrats Website that Edwards is winning by a fairly large margin in internet polling. Of the 6565 votes tallied so far, Edwards has 2463 votes (37.52%), Clinton 1376 (20.96%), Obama (18%), Kucinich 919 (14%), Richardson 361 (5.5%), Biden 166 (2.53%), Dodd 38 (.58%). Voting ends 11:59 PM Friday 9/07/07. If you don't know already, I'm a big Edwards fan. I was hoping that Biden would do better because I'd like to see an Edwards / Biden ticket.
I am a bit of a "list freak" and I've added some of my favorites to this page. It should be noted that I don't put any of the lists of favorites in any order. That is just too hard to do. While I enjoy making the lists, the mental gymnastics of chosing an order to put the names in or who is better at that level would make me have a breakdown. I hope that you'll critique mine and share your own. Asking me "what the hell are you thinking?", is a question I love to answer.
I watched most of The Republican "Debate" last night on Fox. I have to say that it is fun to watch Rudy twitch when Ron Paul is speaking. I had a better opinion of Tom Tancredo before these "shows" started. He is becoming more "Bush - like" every time I see him try to speak. He really has a hard time getting his thoughts to form words. How can we take these guys seriously when they all preach from a similar pulpit? Cut taxes, cut taxes, more war in Iraq, Iran needs an ass - whuppin', the terrorists are coming to get us, cut taxes, we love China, cut taxes, no health care, cut social security, cut taxes, more war in Iraq...These guys are abismal at their best. If this country is stupid enough to elect another Republican president then we deserve whatever next evil, bad crap happens to us.
I'm playing disc golf this weekend with good friends on Saturday and with my oldest son, Josh, on Sunday. I started playing a few months ago and found out that I really like it. It's good exercise and more challenging than you'd imagine. It isn't impossible to become good enough to enjoy fairly quick though. Playing with some guys who know how really helps. As I travel to other towns on business, I've been trying other courses. Lufkin, Longview, Tyler and Texarkana are ones that I've tried so far.
That's all for now. Thanks for dropping in. No More "W's".
Hank
